    Had my car detailed a few times in the past always using different companies, this has been by far the best its looked and for a very competitive price. Ive had a good look around the car and cant fault any part of the work. The finish is mirror.     Why is preparation necessary before ceramic coating?

    Skipping preparation can cause the coating to adhere poorly, which leads to premature wear and uneven protection. We always perform a thorough decontamination wash (using a clay bar) and a machine polish to clean and prepare the paint before locking in a flawless finish.

    Will the coating protect against scratches and rock chips?

    While a ceramic coating provides a hardened surface that resists light swirl marks, it is not scratch-proof. If you are specifically looking to prevent rock chips and deep scratches, you may want to explore paint protection film (PPF).

    How do I wash a ceramic-coated car?

    To keep the coating’s hydrophobic properties performing at their best, hand-wash your car using pH-neutral car shampoo and a microfiber wash mitt. As always it is best avoid automatic car washes, as the harsh brushes will damage the coating.

    What is the difference between a Ceramic Sealant and a Ceramic Coating?

    A full ceramic coating is a professional grade coating that chemically bonds to the paintwork and once cured lasts for up to 5 years. Ceramic sealants and waxes contain the ceramic element but are carried in a different medium that does not bond to the paint and will therefore normally only last 6 to 12 months.

    What is a ceramic coating?

    A full ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your vehicle’s factory paint. Unlike traditional wax that sits on top, a ceramic coating forms a durable, semi-permanent layer of protection that repels water, dirt, and UV rays.

    What coating do we use?

    Our standard 5 year coating is Trinity Coating from Pryramid Car Care (a UK supplier). Trinity is a solvent based, fast curing coating that is suitable for application outside.

    What is Ceramic Coating?

    A full (five year) Ceramic Coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to the surface of your paint providing a semi-permanent protective barrier on the surface.

    This barrier can protect the paint from a variety of environmental hazards, such as bird droppings tree sap, industrial fallout as well as UV rays and oxidation.

    One of the main benefits of a ceramic coating is that it creates a hydrophobic surface on the car.

    This means that water will bead up and roll off the car’s paintwork taking dirt and debris with it. This keeps the car cleaner for longer and makes cleaning much easier.

      More suitable to be applied by a professional. These coatings are carried in a solvent and bond to the paint giving great longevity (around five years).

      Ceramic hybrid coatings

      Ceramic Waxes have the ceramic element carried in a wax rather than a solvent. These can behave like a ceramic coat but degrade like a wax and are broken down by strong chemicals and UV sunlight.

      Ceramic sprays and detailers

      These are typically spray on  ‘top up’ coatings that last a few months but are very easy to apply as part of the normal wash process.

      The key to getting the most from your ceramic coating is preparation. A professional grade grade coating (if applied correctly) will always include a full machine polish to prepare the paintwork. This not only removes all minor defects (yes, even on a brand new car) but ensures the paint is totally clean and the coating can bond effectively to the surface of the paint.
